There are tons of northwest climbing websites out there. Here are a few that I find interesting and which seem to offer a unique perspective.
Alpenglow Gallery - Lowell Skoog's personal site features stunning photography and chronicles the history of ski mountaineering in Washington's Cascades.
Alpine Dave - Dave is an accomplished rock and ice climber with some inspiring FWAs to boot.
Bloxham Photography - Slick site design and first class photography makes Tod’s site well worth a visit. Run a search for his Waddington photos!
Cairn Publishing - Matt Gunn's Vancouver area backcountry ski and scrambles site.
Cascade Classics - Classic ski descents, whitewater kayaking and a bit of climbing thrown in there for good measure. The author is unfortunately no longer with us, but his stories live on.
Cascade Climber - The adventures of Loren and Jens - good climbs, insightful stories.
Cascade Crusades - Continues in the spirit of Cascade Classics, but with poetic sensibilities. Excellent photos throughout!
Cascadian Mountain Adventures - Mike has an enviable list of ascents under his belt. Now on "assignment" in the Bavarian Alps.
Eric's Base Camp - Dedicated to mountaineering and backcountry skiing. Eric and I enjoyed (endured?) many climbs together.
Franklin W. Bradshaw Photography - Bike, hike, ski, paddle...it's all here with nice slideshows to boot!
John Scurlock - Amazing aerial photography of the North Cascades in Winter. Spawned many FWAs during the Winter of 2004/2005.
Kam K. Leang - Smart design and inspiring photography featuring backcountry skiing and mountain scenery.
Phil's Trip Reports - Spanning the gamut of all things mountainous - from videos of backcountry skiing to 'secret' WA ice climbs, with a good sense of humor throughout.
Rhinoclimbs - The Life and Climbs of Northwest climbing legend John Roper.
Ski Sickness - A hypertext manifestation of Sky Sjue's obsession with steep skiing.
The Hyena - Kidnapping babies for ransom. All pow all the time. Preston's backcountry blog.
Waynes' World - Ok, seriously now, we climbed Johannesburg together. Wayne's a league or two or three beyond me, which makes him a phenomenal climber but also a great character to spend time in the mountains with!
